One of the things our site, notably Jimmy TehFreak, has been vocally against - is the "online pass" that electronic arts has been imposing - making people put in a code in games to access online features - including for games like Mortal Kombat, otherwise only receiving half of the game they pay fullprice for.
Over at Angry Joe Show Angry Joe recently put a videogame review for Kingdoms of Amalur - who have stirred up a lot of controversy by having people put an online pass to access the OFFLINE SINGLEPLAYER GAME - meaning you paid $60 for a disc that you are locked out from. If you buy your game used (or in my case, once buying a game that was "expired") youd be required to pay an extra $5-20 to receive a new pass. Replace your ps3 or 360? you lose your pass. And what about players who don't have internet access? They paid $60 for a game they can't unlock. Brilliant.
The Angry Joe show does great work - but they do use coarse language so watch at your risk.
Yes Yes Angry Joe did give a fair review to the game afterwards, but the EA comment needed some attention of its own :p
Below was when JTF first made mention of the issue with his video game review of Mortal Kombat - admittedly this was when he suffered from "plot spoiler" syndrome so dont pay much attention to it - he got better,
