Freakandnitro.com is Proud to be a Sponsor for NESmarathon.com

freakandnitro.com is proud to be a sponsor for Pat the NES Punk's 2nd Annual NES Marathon for Childs Play - a charity that supplies toys, games. etc to childrens hospitals. We encourage our viewers to check out the stream and donate to help children get the same nostalgic pleasure we got when we first sat down and played Sonic the Hedgehog, put our first pegs into a lite-brite, etc.

We are very proud to be involved in this and want to thank Pat the NES Punk of thepunkeffect.com for his hard work toward a considerate cause.

Last year, the first NES Marathon was witnessed by over 70,000 individuals. Over 31 hours, Pat and a friend played every original Nintendo game and raised over $8000 for http://childsplaycharity.org/, a great organization that supplies toy, games, and cash for children's hospitals. The event was promoted by Ustream.tv (who hosted the stream), and they are again promoting the event, and the banner is already up on their gaming section (http://www.ustream.tv/gaming).

On Saturday, October 22nd at 12PM PST, Pat will be playing NES games with a friend for at least 24 hours, and the goal this year will be to raise at least $15,000 for Child's Play Charity, who will be promoting the event this year as well. Pre-donations are already being taken at NESmarathon.com, and depending on the amount of money raised, certain games (both classic and goofy) will be played for the world to see. Check the link for more info.

I love playing SNES games. Now I find them better because they're sponsored by that website. I'll check the link so I'll learn more about them.
